MENALIB - The Middle East Virtual Library

The Universitaets- und Landesbibliothek Sachsen-Anhalt in Halle (ULB Halle) holds responsibility for the German Middle East and North Africa Collection as sponsored by the German Research Foundation (DFG) since 1998. Digital services of this collection and of other information providers in the field of Middle East, North African and Islamic studies are coordinated in the Middle East Virtual Library MENALIB which ULB Halle started to develop in 2000. MENALIB provides access to a number of bibliographic databases. At the same time, one of the main objectives of the further development of MENALIB is the integration of electronic fulltext resources into MENALIB's fulltext repository MENAdoc. Electronic titles include theJournals of the Deutsche Morgenlaendische Gesellschaft (German Oriental Society - DMG), selected titles from theTurkish studies library of Prof. Jacob M. Landau and a constantly growing number of individual digital publications related to Middle East and Islamic studies.
